Magma Academy is an Academy for people who are interested in learning more about Finnish society. We offer high quality speakers who give insights into Finnish society, history and politics, with a certain focus on Finland as a bilingual and multilingual country.
Since 2014, Magma has offered a bilingual Academy to Swedish and Finnish speaking young people. Magma is also offering an English version of this popular Academy program, now for the third time. Magma Academy provides you with the opportunity to meet like-minded people and become a part of our network.
When?
Module 1: Thursday 8.5, 1 pm to 7 pm
Speakers; Stefan Wallin, Senior Advisor, former Minister of Defence, Nils-Erik Forsgård, director at Magma, Lia Markelin, researcher at Magma, Mikko Majander, researcher at Magma.
Module 2: Thursday 22.5, 1 pm to 7pm
Speakers; Wilhelm Barner-Rasmussen, professor at Åbo Akademi, other speakers to be announced.
Excursion Thursday 5.6

Who can apply to Magma Academy?
Magma Academy is intended for persons living in Finland who doesn’t speak Finnish or Swedish as their native language. The Academy requires at least a completed secondary level of education. Since the course is in English, proficiency in English is required.

Cost?
